A New Year…

I hope 2016 is off to a great start for you.  It’s off to a busy one around here, and I don’t just mean where writing is concerned.  Hubby and I are up to our necks in kitchen projects, and although we are hoping for a happy outcome, right now we’re a bit sore, achy, and quite possibly high on paint fumes.  It’ll be interesting to see how the paint fumes  affect my writing…

Got a few updates for you:

  1. There’s a chance that Amazon Encore will be putting the ebook version of The Bargain on sale on January 30th, so if you’re thinking of buying the book, you might want to hold out a few more days and see what happens to the price.  Fingers crossed…
  2. I just found out that WordPress has not been alerting me to comments that folks have left on this website, so I apologize for late responses.  Any time you have a question or comment, please do feel free to send me an email at christinesfeldman@gmail.com, and if you’ve had any trouble receiving your free ebook, be sure to check your spam folder.  (Sometimes the email ends up there.)
  3. There’s new cover art on the way for my Heavenly Bites novellas!  Seemed like it was time for an update.
  4. I’m close to wrapping up a draft of The Bloodline, a novelization of one of my screenplays that placed in screenwriting contests on both coasts.  Still needs some polishing, but it’s getting there…
  5. I’m just about ready to dive into my next contemporary story.  Looking forward to some love and laughter!  🙂

Take care out there, and if you’re an East Coaster, I hope you’re bundled up nice and warm!

It’s Like Christmas In July–No, Wait–August. My Bad…

I just wrapped up my latest manuscript, It Happened One Night, in which I’ve had my nose buried for some time now in my writer’s cave, so I can’t really be blamed for being a bit confused over what calendar month it is, right?  Right.

Thought I’d better pop out of the cave long enough to share some great book sale prices that are going on now, though, just in case one of them might be one you’re been considering buying but haven’t been able to squeeze into the budget.  Ready?  Here we go…

My debut novel, Coming Home, is part of a new 10-book bundle being released by Crimson Romance August 31st, and it’s up for preorder right now for just 73 cents on Amazon and 99 cents elsewhere.  I already preordered a copy for myself because, hey, it’s an affordable way for me to check out some other Crimson authors whose work I’m not yet familiar with.  It’s at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iTunes for sure, and possibly at other ebook retailers as well:

The Bargain, which is now part of Amazon Encore’s imprint–yay!–is on sale for 99 cents and available at Amazon only.  Don’t know how long–I’m afraid I’m out of the loop on this one.

The Bargain - new cover art

And finally, my romantic comedy All’s Fair in Love and Weddings is temporarily on sale at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo, and Smashwords for the next couple of weeks at the low, low price of 99 cents.

Whew!  And there you have it.  I’ll stay out of my writer’s cave long enough to catch my breath and wait for beta reader feedback on my latest, and then it’s off to the wonderful world of writing again!

Have a good one!  🙂

Big News On The Amazon Front

I’m delighted to share the news that Amazon Encore has acquired the exclusive rights to the ebook version of my 2013 novel The Bargain.  Yay!  (And there was much rejoicing…) It is slated for re-release next Tuesday, June 16th, complete with new cover art.

And voila:

The Bargain - new cover art

The only real difference is the couple on the front and, of course, no more Crimson Romance logo on the front–although the old cover art will still be on the paperback.  The reason for the change is that the stock images used before were no longer available, so Amazon had to come up with a new guy and gal.  I think they did a good job, don’t you?

Right now the price is listed at $3.99, but I don’t know if that will be the actual price on release day or not.  So if you’re considering buying a copy, it might be worth waiting until next Tuesday just to see if there’s any special celebratory price.  Fingers crossed…

You can check the product page here to see the price–the book’s info is still in transition from the old page.

So there you have it!  🙂  And now I’m off to the writing cave again…

Just For Valentine’s Day

Hope you’re having a wonderful Valentine’s Day!  And nothing says Happy Valentine’s Day like a chance to win something–well, unless it’s chocolate, or a sweet card, or something sparkly, etc., but anyway–

KindleSweepsbanner.650x270

Crimson Romance–the publisher of my first two books, Coming Home and The Bargain–has a sweepstakes going on through the end of February that has as a prize a Kindle Fire preloaded with 25 of Crimson’s books.  (Which makes me wonder if it ought to come with a warning, because with that much romance, you might just overdose.  But what a way to go!  Am I right, or am I right?)

If you’re feeling lucky, check it out at this link here.

If you prefer not to gamble and like more of a sure thing, you might consider checking out the huge sale of Crimson books happening on Amazon right now.  All of their kindle books are on sale for $1.99 this month, and there’s a little something for everyone:  suspense, sweet, supernatural… you name it, they’ve got it.

If you’re interested, the link to the sale is here.

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to spend a little quality time with my valentine…

And The Nominees Are…

No, I’m not going to the next Academy Awards, but I am tickled pink to share the news that my second Crimson Romance novel, The Bargain, is one of the nominees for a RONE Award in the category of Contemporary – General:

Pardon me while I do a few fist pumps in the air…

…Okay, I’m done.  (For now…)

The RONE Awards are featured on the online magazine InD’Tale’s site here, and the folks at InD’Tale are very supportive of self- and small-publishers–thank you, InD’Tale!  I was thrilled when an InD’Tale reviewer gave The Bargain a lovely 5-star review a few months ago, and to be included as a RONE nominee now is a wonderful bonus.

Voting for the Contemporary – General category will be March 17- 23, and if you’ve read The Bargain and are interested in voting for it, here are the directions on InD’Tale’s website:

“You must be a subscriber to vote online.  If you choose not to sign-up, you can still vote by sending your specific votes to:  anasmith@indtale.com   Emails will only be accepted during corresponding week of voting. Please include Genre, book and author in your email.”

The book’s up against some other great titles, so regardless of the final outcome, I really am just honored to be nominated.  Thanks again, InD’Tale!  🙂

Coming Soon…

Thanks to a heads-up from a fellow Crimson Romance author, I discovered this morning that there is a link on Amazon now for a paperback version of my second novel, The Bargain.  Yay!  I’m so excited!

TheBargainCover

At the moment there isn’t any cover art showing, and the book’s status is “Temporarily Out of Stock,” but it’s still a step in the right direction.  I’m going to hold off ordering any copies until it actually says they have them, but when they do… Look out!  I’ll be the first one in line to click on “Add to Cart.”  Multiple times.  And then I will cuddle with a copy of Coming Home AND The Bargain.  That’s normal, right?

If you’d like to check it out for yourself, here’s the link, but I wouldn’t pre-order it since I vaguely remembering having trouble doing that when the link for Coming Home first showed up.  People who waited until it actually showed as “In Stock” got their copies way before I did, and I finally ended up having to cancel the order and trying again.  I guess the early bird doesn’t ALWAYS get the worm.

Have a great day!  🙂

Yay! Another Review Of The Bargain!

Happy day!  Another reviewer reviewed my book!  And in case you couldn’t tell, she liked it!

TheBargainCover

Today I woke up to a lovely 4-star review of The Bargain.  Love to start my day that way!  Thank you, Harlequin Junkie, for the review!  If you’d like to read the whole review, check it out here.  And please feel free to leave your own review on Amazon if you’ve read the book.  Reviews are much appreciated!

Comments Welcome

Today Maureen at Just Contemporary Romance is hosting me on her site, so please stop by and say hello if you get a chance.  Thanks, Maureen!

We love it when people leave comments, and I promise it’s really fairly painless.  I’m promoting my new book, so if you’ve read The Bargain and enjoyed it, feel free to comment on that, too!  And if you didn’t enjoy it, feel free to comment on something else like the weather, current events, or whether or not 40 really is the new 30.

Cover Art Reveal

So for my first two books, I didn’t have to do a whole lot as far as the cover art was concerned because the publisher had its own resources to create that.  All I had to do was offer a little input and cross my fingers that the final result didn’t include a Fabio lookalike.  Mission accomplished, right?

ComingHomeCover                    TheBargainCover

Nary a hint of Fabio to be seen.  Whew!  [wipes forehead in relief]

But now that I’m also going to try self-publishing on Amazon, I need to tackle cover art myself.  Now I could hire someone to do it for me using fancy schmancy software, but that can get expensive.  Besides, I figure I’m creative enough to come up with something on my own, right?  And boy, did I!  I think I totally nailed it.  What do you think?

I’d buy this book.  Wouldn’t you?

🙂

And The Week Winds Down

Hope you all had a good week!  Mine was very busy with book release “stuff” and life in general (how is it that a house can feel clean for about 5 minutes and then suddenly all the housework needs to start all over again?  Stupid dust bunnies seem to multiply as fast as the real thing…)

Had a few highlights this week:

*  Lots of guest blogs with giveaways of The Bargain that will be ending soon, so I’ve got  ebooks to send out to the winners.

*  I’m in the process of commissioning my first book cover for the Christmas novella I plan to self-publish on Amazon later this year.  Woo hoo!

*  Woke up to a lovely review of The Bargain this morning that made me feel warm and tingly all over, so either I’m happy or I need to go to the urgent care facility immediately.  You can read the review here, if you’re interested.

More about the cover art experience later…
