Release Day!

Yay!  Another Release Day has rolled around, and this time it’s for my latest romantic comedy, It Happened One Night:

ItHappenedOneNight 500x750-2

The book is up and running on Amazon and iTunes, and should be up any time now on Barnes & Noble, too.  (I’m not sure why it isn’t showing up on Barnes & Noble yet, although I am beginning to suspect it’s because someone there likes to watch me twitch…)

Initial reviews have been good–whew!–so if you’re in the mood to curl up for a quick, lighthearted read, consider checking it out, won’t you?  🙂

Now to get started on the next one…

9/30/15 (P.S.  It showed up on Barnes and Noble Wednesday morning, so I’ve updated the link.)

It’s Official!

While folks all around the country are sharing pics and news about their little ones’ first day back at school, I’m sharing news about my own little baby–namely, my upcoming romantic comedy It Happened One Night.  Release Day is official:  September 29th.  Yay!

ItHappenedOneNight 500x750-2

The book’s all set to go for release on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and–if I don’t fall down the formatting rabbit hole first–should be ready soon on Smashwords for distribution on iTunes, Kobo, and other ebook retailers.  Fingers crossed that I don’t pull out all my hair in the process…

Hope everyone has a great start to the school year!  🙂

It’s Like Christmas In July–No, Wait–August. My Bad…

I just wrapped up my latest manuscript, It Happened One Night, in which I’ve had my nose buried for some time now in my writer’s cave, so I can’t really be blamed for being a bit confused over what calendar month it is, right?  Right.

Thought I’d better pop out of the cave long enough to share some great book sale prices that are going on now, though, just in case one of them might be one you’re been considering buying but haven’t been able to squeeze into the budget.  Ready?  Here we go…

My debut novel, Coming Home, is part of a new 10-book bundle being released by Crimson Romance August 31st, and it’s up for preorder right now for just 73 cents on Amazon and 99 cents elsewhere.  I already preordered a copy for myself because, hey, it’s an affordable way for me to check out some other Crimson authors whose work I’m not yet familiar with.  It’s at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iTunes for sure, and possibly at other ebook retailers as well:

The Bargain, which is now part of Amazon Encore’s imprint–yay!–is on sale for 99 cents and available at Amazon only.  Don’t know how long–I’m afraid I’m out of the loop on this one.

The Bargain - new cover art

And finally, my romantic comedy All’s Fair in Love and Weddings is temporarily on sale at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo, and Smashwords for the next couple of weeks at the low, low price of 99 cents.

AllsFairinLoveandWeddings 200x300

Whew!  And there you have it.  I’ll stay out of my writer’s cave long enough to catch my breath and wait for beta reader feedback on my latest, and then it’s off to the wonderful world of writing again!

Have a good one!  🙂

Cover Reveal

Summer’s been a busy time for me.  How about you?  But in addition to several non-writing-related projects, I’ve been plugging away at another romantic comedy since I had so much fun writing Winging It.  (Hopefully you had fun reading it.)  I hope to be able to have it out by the end of August, but we’ll have to see…

Anyway, I thought I’d share the cover art and book blurb with you today, so here goes:

ItHappenedOneNight 500x750-2

Who has time for dating these days?  Certainly not struggling entrepreneur Paisley Jameson, who has way too much on her plate to pay any real attention to her shriveling social life.  And not mechanic Joe Spencer either, who has a lot on his mind with both the family business and family in general.  But neither can say no to the beloved mutual acquaintance who wants to set them both up on a blind date.

Which is too bad, because they both kind of wish they had said no when they show up for the dinner date and realize they’ve met before–and not under happy circumstances.

But fate seems determined to prove that they’re not so wrong for each other after all, because in spite of the intentions of both Paisley and Joe to nip this whole unfortunate blind date thing in the bud and go their separate ways, events transpire to keep them together for an evening involving muggers, foot-chases, and even a high-speed trip to the ER–

And that’s all before dessert.

Dating:  it’s not for wimps…

And there you have it.  Okay, off to finish writing the latest chapter…

Big News On The Amazon Front

I’m delighted to share the news that Amazon Encore has acquired the exclusive rights to the ebook version of my 2013 novel The Bargain.  Yay!  (And there was much rejoicing…) It is slated for re-release next Tuesday, June 16th, complete with new cover art.

And voila:

The Bargain - new cover art

The only real difference is the couple on the front and, of course, no more Crimson Romance logo on the front–although the old cover art will still be on the paperback.  The reason for the change is that the stock images used before were no longer available, so Amazon had to come up with a new guy and gal.  I think they did a good job, don’t you?

Right now the price is listed at $3.99, but I don’t know if that will be the actual price on release day or not.  So if you’re considering buying a copy, it might be worth waiting until next Tuesday just to see if there’s any special celebratory price.  Fingers crossed…

You can check the product page here to see the price–the book’s info is still in transition from the old page.

So there you have it!  🙂  And now I’m off to the writing cave again…

It’s Release Day!!!

WingingIt 200x300

Yay!  Release Day is finally here for Winging It, and it’s already gotten a couple of wonderful reviews on Amazon.  Now that’s the way I like to start a book release day!

There’s an excerpt up over at Read Your Writes today, plus the original reviews that were cross-posted to Amazon can be read at Tome Tender and A Reader’s Review, but here are a couple of highlights:

“…If you’re looking for an uplifting, laugh-out-loud fast read Winging It is definitely for you! It really stands out from many other rom-com reads in a very punchy and vibrant way. And, it will leave you wanting more!”

“…a short but fabulously funny tale of the adventures of a feathery flight from incarceration and the heroes who braved just about every mishap imaginable! Fast, furious and never without humor, Ms. Feldman has created one of the best feel good reads I have ever read!”

If you’re interested in reading the book for yourself, it’s available now on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and it should be appearing on iTunes, Kobo, and other major ebook retailers shortly.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!  🙂

The Times They Are A-Changin’…

You may have noticed a few changes on my website recently–unless of course you’ve never visited my site before, in which case you’re just going to have to take my word for it.  You can trust me, though.  I’ve got an honest face.

New header, new photo, new email subscription list for new releases and other special updates, AND other plans in the works.  Thanks to those “other plans,” I’ve got two bits of news to pass along:

1)  Pastels and Jingle Bells is now free on a number of ebook retailer sites; it’s in transition right now.  I’m really proud of that novella and of the reviews it’s gotten, and I’m hoping to share it with lots of new readers.  If all goes well, its sequel Love Lessons may be free as part of a special offer involving my email subscription list.  Fingers crossed that I get the technical side of it all worked out…

2)  My Heavenly Bites novella series and All’s Fair in Love and Weddings are now available on pretty much all the major ebook retailer sites.  Yay!  Click on the following links to see them on those sites.

Amazon

Barnes & Noble

Smashwords

iTunes

Kobo

Plus I’m also working on a new manuscript, so… busy, busy, busy!

Welcome Back To The Fetal Position

For those of you who don’t already know, my go-to position whenever I have to tackle formatting issues for my ebooks is the fetal position.  A true classic, it really seems to lend itself to that particular activity and comes quite naturally to me in times of technology-induced stress.  It sure did this weekend!

Hard to type that way, though…

But anyway, I soldiered on because I’m hoping to make my books available on more than just Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and what’s cool about Smashwords is that an author can upload a manuscript to the Smashwords site, and then Smashwords will churn out appropriate digital versions that meet the technical requirements for a lot of online book vendors.  Like iTunes, Kobo, etc.  The only thing the author has to do is format his or her manuscript to Smashwords specifications.  Piece of cake, right?

Dang, my body almost went into “fetal lockdown mode” just at the memory.

But my books appear to have made it through the first phase of the approval process, the automated part; now I just have to wait for an actual human being to tell me if I screwed anything up.  Could take several days.  I predict much chocolate and ice cream will be consumed during that waiting period.  By me, at least.  I don’t know about the folks at Smashwords.

But while there’s a lot of stress involved with this particular side of writing sometimes, it’s alleviated a little bit when one wakes up to see a review like the one I got this morning from my first Smashwords sale:

PlayingCupid 200x300

“I came across this book by chance and found the description intriguing. After enjoying the sample, I quickly purchased the entire story. Being a writer myself, it usually takes a lot to pull me away from my own work, but Playing Cupid did so with surprising ease…”

For those of you who would like to read the entire review (I’m talking mostly to my mother here, I know), click here.

And now I’m off to find chocolate…

It’s Release Day!–Well, Sort Of…

Okay, so maybe it’s not an official release day, but All’s Fair in Love and Weddings is now out in paperback, so I figure that’s close enough.  And I just saw that Amazon put it slightly on sale, too–marked down a whole 89 cents!  Woo hoo!

AllsFairinLoveandWeddings 200x300

Here’s the link for those folks who want to take advantage of those tremendous savings…

And because it’s also St. Patrick’s Day, here’s a little festivity for you:

Have a very happy March 17th!  😀
