Review of Coming Home

I’m a happy camper because I just got a glowing review of my book, Coming Home, by someone who isn’t a relative, friend, coworker, or anyone else who might feel at all concerned about crushing my fragile feelings with criticism of my writing.  The reviewer is a blogger who specializes in reviewing books.  I’m her official April 9th entry.

Here’s the review, if you’d like to check it out:  The BookFinder Blogspot.

  1. Hmm… so I finished your book… I always get a little nervous when someone suggests a book in the romantic genre because I believe in this day and age romance is no longer left to the imagination. Romance means being graphic, so I tend to shy away from the genre. Thank you for writing something so enthralling!

I was hooked from the beginning! I liked the way you created a bit of mystery with each character. I found myself trying to figure out what motivated each one. I actually found myself riding an emotional rollercoaster with each character, which hasn’t happened to me in awhile with a book. It reminded me of a book by Robin Pilcher I read a while back called “An Ocean Apart” (you should Google him although you probably have heard of him. He writes short stories also). The stories aren’t the same but my reaction while reading were the same. I didn’t want it to end and yet it came to a natural conclusion, you stIll left me guessing and I would have never guessed that Danny would going to go looking for Callie..

So well done!!! I’m really impressed! You have a fan. Can’t wait for your next one! Now I have to find something to fill my time until July!

    • Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I tend to sweat buckets when someone I know reads something I wrote, fearing the worst and all… So thank you for the kind feedback! I’ll look Robin Pilcher up on Amazon.
